Our Story
About
BERS Cleaning & Hauling was founded by Braden Ensing and Robert Southwood in October of 2025, serving Grand Rapids, Michigan and the areas surrounding. The two founders have very different areas of expertise, though they come from a common background and believe heavily in family values. They, and therefore the company, believes in hard work, consistent quality, and listening to what our clients want to tailor our services to their individual needs.
Our mission is to be the best choice for janitorial services in the Grand Rapids area, and eventually the best choice in Michigan. To achieve this we focus on quality and speed, making sure that small details are not missed while moving as efficiently as possible. We strive to perfect our work which is why both of the owners are actively involved with our clients. Our goal with each and every one of our clients is to build a relationship that will last for years to come to benefit both parties involved.

The two member leadership team is comprised of the founders and owners of the company with backgrounds supporting their area of expertise in the business.
Robert Southwood
Chief Financial & Administrative Officer (CFAO), Member
Robert is our CFAO, having graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Finance. He has studied personal finance, investment, and real estate concepts since high school giving him years of research and experience. Prior to the company's founding Robert dedicated time to researching janitorial concepts particularly in the medical field which broke into the research of multiple different industries janitorial standards.
Braden Ensing
Chief Operations Officer (COO), Member
Brady is our COO, with years of experience working with engines, hauling scrap metal, and construction work such as flooring, electrical, and plumbing. He has had various passion projects over the years from boats to campers performing all the work required along the way. He has also acquired multiple certifications from the Kent County Technical Center.
